As God has given us the health and the wisdom to earn an income, and all things that we have had come from God, we return a portion of our monthly income to God to fund the various gospel ministries. In the Old Testament, a tithe of 10% of the gross income is the minimum mandated sum (Malachi 3:8, 10). The New Testament principle is that God loves a cheerful giver: so we are free to give more as the Lord has placed in our hearts (2 Corinthians 9:7).
