Dear friends,
Ephesians 2:19-21, “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord.”
Our name “Cornerstone” reflects the fact that our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is the central theme of Scripture and our Church.
We are a Reformed, Confessional Presbyterian Church in Singapore:
- Reformed – refers to the 16th Century Protestant Reformation led by Reformers such as Martin Luther and John Calvin who gave the people God’s Word and preached the pure Gospel of Christ that led to a spiritual revival in the Church.
- Confessional – we affirm the theology of the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms as one of the clearest and most succinct explanations of Holy Scripture.
- Presbyterian – in church government, elders (from the Greek word presbyter) have spiritual oversight and lead in the ministry of the Word and prayer, while deacons serve the church with their gifts of administration and ministry of mercy. (1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9: Acts 6:1-6)
Come and hear the good news of Jesus Christ and worship with us this Sunday.
