About Dr David Teo
Dr David Teo is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist and Deputy Medical Director at Connections MindHealth, Novena Medical Centre.
Dr Teo is experienced in treating a broad range of mental health conditions across the life span. He holds a special interest in working with children, youth and the medically ill, as well as psychodynamic psychotherapy. He believes that holistic, person-centered care which addresses the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual aspects of illness is key to helping people overcome mental health conditions and live life to the fullest.
Before entering private practice, Dr Teo was a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist with the Department of Psychological Medicine, Changi General Hospital, where he headed the Health Wellness Programme – a community mental health collaborative care programme that equips and supports primary care physicians and social service agencies in delivering mental health interventions in the community.
Dr Teo and his family worship at Adam Road Presbyterian Church where he also serves in the Mental Wellness Ministry.
